I'm around 2 years old and I came to my foster home after no one claimed me at animal control. I am a very cute, very sweet boy who just wants to be where the people are. I'll greet you every time we make eye contact with loud, thumping tail wags and the best wiggle butt you've ever seen. I've done a great job meeting new people so far! I haven't spent much time around kids, but I'm a really sweet and friendly guy and have liked the ones I've seen out and about. I can play a little rambunctiously, and I might not have enough body awareness to be around babies and toddlers. I get along great with other dogs! Me and my foster sister like to play chase in the yard, share our toys nicely, and cuddle up for a nap together. There are some cats in the house too and I think it's really fun to chase them, so I should join a family that doesn't have any feline friends. Whatever you imagine doing with your new furry friend, I want to do that too! Walk at the park? I'll grab my leash. Tug of war? My toy is ready. Snuggle on the couch? Let's get that cozy blanket (seriously, I will go get it for you)! I'm learning basic commands and tricks - my favorite part is getting a treat when I do a good job. I really REALLY like treats and food, so if I come to live with you, I'll be great motivation to keep the kitchen counters cleared off! I will stay quiet in my kennel if you need to pop out for a bit, and I make sure to only chew on my toys. I'll be honest, I could use more practice on my leash skills but I'm getting better every day at slowing my pace. I have a gentle personality, and I want to be a great companion for my family. I just need to be patiently shown what you'd like me to do and I'll learn quickly! They might be biased because I've charmed them with my sweet little face, but my foster parents think I would be the perfect addition for any family who wants to include me in their daily activities, give me lots of attention and playtime, and doesn't mind an oversized, snuggly lapdog. Cats probably aren't the best fit for me, but I could be happy as your only dog or with a buddy! I can't wait to meet you! Bluey is fixed, microchipped, and up to date on vaccinations for his age.
